The identified Lines or family trees for the various surnames are shown below. Each Line is identified by the most distant known ancestor for the line, called the founder or progenitor. Often the progenitor's birth is estimated, due to lack of information. The earliest known location for the most distant ancestor is also provided.

This web page is difficult to keep current, since research is ongoing. It is recommended that you contact us for the latest information on your family tree. Also, if you do not know your Line number, please contact us.

Where it is suspected that a family tree connects to an established Line, and research is ongoing to find this connection, a Line is assigned the label Lu, for unknown. These Lines are not posted to this page. Research continues until a determination is made regarding whether the family tree connects to an existing Line or the family tree is a new Line.

If you do not see your line identified, the Line is still in Research as a Lu Line. You can still participate in the DNA Project. Your participation will expedite the research on your Line. Perhaps you have information that will help us in the research of your Line.

As more research is completed, we may be able to take a Line back another generation, or identify more descendents. If the father of a progenitor is discovered, then the line is revised to reflect the new progenitor. It is hoped that we will also be able to connect lines with additional research. If this occurs, two or more Lines will merge to one.

Migration and the wide variety of surname recordings found often make it difficult to accurately take a Line back farther in time.
